We have movement.

Finally at 16 weeks I felt my little one kicking and moving all around. I have been noticing flutters but this week I can actually feel the kicks! Russell would put his hand on my stomach and feel them as well and everytime the baby would kick he would get excited and a say "was that it", and I would just laugh and say yes that was it!!

House Update.

Aright, we got the house! The appraisal went well, the inspection went good. All we have to do it wait on the closing date. And we also found out that the house appraised for 2500 more than what we paid for it! So we are feeling pretty good about everything! The realtor says we are shooting for May 7th to be the day we close. So were all crossing our fingers and hoping that we get to close that day. Russell and I are so excited that we drive by all the time just to check it out. I cant wait to make it our place and do the things we want to it. There is going to be a party/cookout for all the family and friends to come and check out the place. We havent decided when that will be but we'll let everyone know. June 1st I start back to school and Im super excited because Im so ready to go back. I didnt like taking a semester off. But more updates and things will be coming!

Doctor update.

Today I went to the doctor and everything is looking good. He checked the babies heart rate and its at 148, he made the comment that its moving toward the boy range, but its still in the girl range! Ive only gained 4-5 pounds since Ive been pregnant. He says Im right on track to where I need to be. He also told me that my belly should be popping out in the next few weeks or so, which Im already starting to show. He sent me to the lab to give blood and they are checking to make sure the spinal cord and everything is forming properly. We will find out the results in a week or so. I have another doctors appointment on May 17. Then I will be 18 weeks and 6 days. He said if the blood work comes back okay, he will do an ultrasound to see what the sex of the baby is! But we have a busy week a head of us. Tomorrow we go to the new house to get it appraised and inspected. Wish us luck!

Its a 3 bedroom 2 bath out in Appleby, Texas. Its about six miles from Nacogdoches where we currently live.





This is the house Russell and I have a pending contract on!! Lets just hope the inspection and the appraisal goes well! We finalize everything before May 12!!

Last day at work!

Our last day at work, we had a little pot luck. All kinds of Jamaican food. We got surprised with a cake, drawings from one of the agents, and a little shirt for the baby. It says Jamaica No Problem. We had so much fun here in Jamaica but we cant wait to come home!! The drawings say Collin and Kinslee.

The ultrasound at 7 weeks and 2 days. The doctors visit went great. We have a very healthy and very large baby at this time. The baby is acutally only suppose to be .12 cm and its 1.04cm! Its good to know that the baby is doing alright. Everyone seems to be super excited about us starting a family. We also want to wish Amber and Austin luck because they are starting IVF. We come home this Saturday and cant wait see everyone. We love and miss everyone so much. Jamaica has been a great experience but its time to come home! Aunt Cindy says the baby looks like its holding a basketball and when Russell read the comment on facebook he smiled from ear to ear and had a tear in his eye. We also got to see the babies heartbeat. Its beating at 149.25 beats per minute. We are just so excited about this time in our lives. We cant wait until he/she is here!! Also some more news to let everyone know, we are trying to buy a house. Big time in our lives for sure!

Saturday night we went out to eat with some friends of ours at the Yaucht Club.Overall the day was AMAZING. We really enjoyed ourselves.

The next Saturday we all went to the beach and went snorkling.

Then on the way home from dinner we stopped at the gift shop and got these!!





Okay so it has been awhile we know! We have just been super busy with things changing at work, our hours, what day we are leaving Jamaica and etc. But were about to update you on everything that has been going on.

First off we have some pictures from dinner on Valentines Day. We were at a place called Pier 1 and it was right on a pier. We went around 8 so we couldnt take pretty pictures of the water.

Doctor Update:

So we tried another doctor today to see what she had to say since the other doctor was not very productive. As soon as we got there the nurse had already asked more questions than the other doctor had asked. It started out well I thought. Then we get to see the main doctor. This doctor has been known to see most Americans that come to Jamaica. When we went in there, the doctor saw us right away. She asked most of the questions that should have been asked, then she gave me a pelvic exam. She said that my uterus is in a good position. So that gave me some relieve. Then she told me that I was five weeks and four days. That I was not aware of. I thought I was just now four weeks. So Im almost 6 weeks! I know its not that big of a difference but it is to me. Ive been reading my books about the baby's developement and now I can really have a mental picture of what it looks like right now! Very exciting. At week 8 I will be able to hear the babies heart beat! Also I get another ultrasound on March 2nd. This time we will actually be able to see the baby. I felt really comfortable with this doctor and she even set me up with another appointment. The other doctor didnt. Well so overall the visit went well!

I have made another appointment with an American doctor down here because the first one I went to was very quacky. They didnt do most of the things they should have. My appointment is Friday at 1. So I will feel much better to know that Im able to see an American doctor here. Just letting everyone know! We love everyone.

Yesterday was an experience. We went to the Logos Hope Ship that is a non profit organization that travels around the world on a ship that sells millions of books at a discounted rate. Trisha bought tons of baby books. Then later that night we went to the movies. It wasn't to bad until right in the middle of the movie they have an intermission. A 15 minute intermission. We were upset because it was a really good movie, The Book of Eli. But then again it was kind of funny because we werent use to it. Sunday has been a lazy day for us. Trisha needs some rest and Im going to watch the Superbowl.

Ultrasound

Today I had my first ultrasound and they couldn't see the baby. It was to early. I am only 2-3 weeks pregnant. They did a different type of ultrasound and they saw the sac and my uterus is enlarging, which means I'm definitely pregnant. My body is getting ready for the baby! We were a little disappointed when they said they couldn't see anything. We got scared, what if I had three false positives. But then he showed me the ultrasound and I saw the sac. We then became excited again. I have to return in two weeks so that we can try it all over again. This is the start of something amazing and we can't wait. We are also really thankful that everyone is following our journey to becoming parents.
